Starting the demolition process
Carefully removing sections 1/2 inch drywall from the ceiling.

Complete demolition removing all the drywall and nails remaining the corner molding. Green board is to be installed for the replacement.
All area need to be cleaned out before new drywall installation.

Installing the 1/2 inch green board which is commonly used in bathrooms. Green board is supposed to be moisture resistance. The original ceiling was regular 1/2 in drywall.

Continuing installing the 1/2 inch green board.
Taping and mudding the joints, I use a 3 to 4 stage process. The first step is to tape your joints using Doro bond 45 firmly across the surface, use Doro bond 20 firmly twice between drying time, the last coat using regular drywall compound to finish the surface ready for sanding. This process done correctly should allow you to have minimal sanding.
